Hello Sugarcreek Neighbors,
After much thought, consideration, and reflection, I have officially decided to run for Sugarcreek Township Trustee. This isn’t a new idea — it’s been growing in my heart for over a year. I’ve been encouraged by many of you: Sugarcreek residents, Bellbrook residents, and community organizations who’ve asked me to step forward and serve.
Who am I? I’m a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, coworker, friend — and a lifelong lover of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek area. I grew up in Sugarcreek Township, with my grandmother living in the city. To me, there’s never been a divide — we shop at the same grocery stores, dine in the same restaurants, drive the same roads, and cheer on the same high school team. We are one community.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being deeply involved in our area:
• Volunteering at the Sugar Maple Festival
• Serving on the original planning committee for Spellbrook
• Helping organize Community Day in the Plaza
• Actively supporting Bellbrook Soccer, Football and Lacrosse Parent Clubs
• Serving as Executive Director of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Chamber of Commerce,
where I:
Secured grants to support economic growth
Kept the annual craft show local
Created new funding opportunities for scholarships
Supported students at the Greene County Career Center on a media project and give students volunteer opportunities
Launched events like Casino Night to bring neighbors together
And that’s just a start. I care deeply about this community and have always believed in showing up and doing the work and pride on the best interest of the community.
