About Me

Jodi holds a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She also earned a master’s in educational leadership from McGregor of Antioch and a K-12 Principal’s License through the Ohio Department of Education from Wright State University.

For two decades, Jodi dedicated her career to urban education at Dayton Public Schools, where she served as a teacher, administrator, mentor, and curriculum coach, supporting both staff and students.

Currently, Jodi works at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) as part of the Director’s Action Group. In this role, she provides communications support to the Aerospace Directorate across locations including Arnold Air Force Base (Tennessee), Edwards Air Force Base (California), and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Ohio).

She also continues her passion for community leadership by serving as a training consultant for the Miami Valley Communication Council, where she organizes training opportunities for local municipalities. In addition, she is an adjunct instructor in the Organizational Leadership Program at Wright State University, teaching Foundations of Leadership courses.

Jodi previously served as the Executive Director of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Chamber of Commerce, where she managed the daily operations of the chamber and created networking opportunities for individuals and businesses across the Miami Valley—bringing residents, city, and township communities together.

A passionate advocate for veterans, Jodi has traveled the country supporting veteran events, including commemorative WWII parachute jumps from original aircraft. She honors the legacy of her grandfather, Jim "Pee Wee" Martin of the 506th G Company, by speaking at events and helped in bringing global and local awareness to the Veterans Memorial Park and statue in Sugarcreek Township—dedicated in honor of her grandfather and all veterans.

Outside of her professional and civic duties, Jodi is a devoted mother to her two sons. Her eldest son, Hunter, is a Business/Finance major at Ohio University in Athens, while her youngest son, Hayden, is a student at Bellbrook High School, actively involved in football and lacrosse.

Also, Jodi has a huge love for her three dogs: Jagger, and Bella and Bunny who were adopted at the Greene County Animal Shelter.
